By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Identify key components of treatment plans that demonstrate medical necessity, individualized clinical needs, and alignment with funding-source requirements.
2. Differentiate between clinically meaningful and insufficient treatment goals by evaluating their measurability, functional relevance, baseline data, and connection to identified areas of need.
3. Apply evidence-based strategies for determining and justifying treatment intensity, service recommendations, and ongoing authorization requests using assessment findings and client progress data.
4. Evaluate ABA session notes for completeness, clinical relevance, and consistency with industry standards and funder requirements.
5. Develop documentation practices that strengthen the continuity between assessment findings, treatment goals, session notes, and progress reports to support medical necessity, funding approval, and successful reauthorization.
